Method of Working

From a perspective of maximising the learning effect for further enhancement and development of the Enterprise(s) concerned, we review going Business Operations in the Agricultural and Bio-energy sectors. We perform technical and financial audits of going Business Concerns, assess their performance, review the applied management and production methods and practices, and evaluate product quality and quality assurance systems.

For evaluating Enterprise Management & Performance we apply various analytical tools and concepts such as SWOT analysis (matrix of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), Value Chain Analysis, assessment of Good Management Practices (GMP) and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points; for the food industry) or HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies.

Evaluation Management & Operations

Enterprise management is checked on its general compliance with Good Management Practices and Good Agricultural Practices (in the case of farm enterprises). The Management and Quality Assurance of advanced and more industrial types of operations can be evaluated on the basis of  ISO 9001 principles (Quality Management) or ISO 22000 (if Food Safety is an issue).

HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points; for the food industry) or HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies can be performed to systematically examine planned or existing processes or operations in order to identify and evaluate problems that may represent risks to personnel or equipment, or the quality of products, or prevent efficient operation and/or cause delays.
